Study - Concealed Carry Legal Services [ www.concealedcarrylegal.com
]
The team at Concealed Carry Legal Services
needed a site that would tell visitors and potential clients
about their service offering, allow them to get more information
or purchase directly online. Time was short as a large gun
show was approaching. A few phone and email conferences were
held. They had a low resolution picture of what they wanted
their logo to look like. They also have many clients who are
not as familiar with using web forms or who wanted to pay
via the postal service.
We first took the logo picture and recreated
it using Adobe Illustrator, turning it into vector
art. This allows it to be easily scaled up or down and used
in all of their marketing collateral. An initial site mockup
was done in Adobe Illustrator for the clients review. After
client approval, the real work of creating the site was done
using Dreamweaver MX with Cold Fusion extensions. The site
runs on a Cold Fusion MX Server along with a Microsoft SQL
Server database for storing and retrieving information. PayPal
was their preferred credit card processor, so the site was
setup to work with PayPal's system. An easy to use form allows
people to fill in the required information and either pay
online with PayPal or print out a form and mail in their payment.
Time to build this site was just over four
days, including revisions to meet the customers requirements.
